Alarian's CC2 & DD2 Page     Mapped with CC2

Below are maps and objects I have created using Campaign Cartographer 2 and Dungeon Designer 2. Both programs are written by ProFantasy Software Ltd.

 Buildings:

Small Cottage

I designed this using both CC2 and DD2. I have called it a cottage here, but in my campaign, this belonged to a fairly high level mage. In actuality it was a highly magical dwelling that he was able to command to shrink and grow with a command word. In its reduced size, it is approximately 2" x 3". When commanded to grow, it would reach its full size of 20' x 30'. It is usable 3 times per week and stays full sized for 12 hours before reducing back to its smaller state. Anyone caught inside when the Cottage shrinks will find themselves rather unceremoniously dumped outside. The item was recently acquired by the group I am currently GM'ing.

This ship was recently acquired by the group in my campaign. They managed to waylay a group of pirates that had been terrorizing the area when they put into a small cove that the group had discovered they had been using for a while now for their base of operations. It's a 70 foot ship based loosely on a Brigantine and Lugger.

Update 8/30/99

Below is the current design of the lower decks of the ship above.  After coming into a little money, the group decided everyone wanted their own cabin.  And since they don't use the ship for merchant type of cargos all that often, they decided to take a chunk out of the cargo hold to make a few more personal cabins.

Updated 11/16/99

Here is my latest project.  It's a gigantic ship that I will be using in my campaign sometime in the future.  In my world, it is going to be basically a ship, but I could easily see it being used as a Spell Jammer as well for those that were interested. In modern terms, think of it as a giant cruise ship. In my world it's kind of like a floating mobile kingdom.  It should be pointed out that this ship is HUGE.  It's over 800 feet long and the 2nd and 3rd decks (especially the 3rd) will take some time to redraw.  There is a large garden, a swimming pool, jousting arena, Theatre, ball room and much more.  The ship is well armed and the top two levels (other than the observation area on level 1 are devoted entirly to the defenses and the support equipment needed for them.  In the rear of the ship on level 3 is an opening large enough to sail a small to mid-sized ship into.  I don't have a key made up for it at this point, but I will eventually get that done as well and hopefully will add it to this file at a later point.

This is by far my biggest project so far. I put at least 40 hours into this.  If you like it, let me know.

Updated 04/11/01

Here is my latest project.  This map was modeled after TSR's module Village of the Hommlet. It has been updated in several ways though. First, it depicts an earlier time before the moathouse was actually in ruins, and second I moved it out of the swampy region where it was sitting and put it in a location better suited to my campaign. It now sits high up on a plain overlooking the sea. The cliff face to the east is a vertical drop of about 200 feet to the water below. It also sits above a natural cove, with the water depth never going above 50 feet right up to the cliff face. In the basement there is a set of stairway going down to the sea. BOats are able to row to the opening and load or unload passengers and cargo there instead of having to carry it overland. Note, there is no cavern for the boat to dock at, there is just an opening about 6' above the sea level where a small dock has been erected to allow smaller boats to land.
